These terms govern the use of the One Percent Accounting website and the purchase of services through our online tax store. Please read them before you place an order.
One Percent SA (Pty) Ltd ("One Percent Accounting", "we", "us") is a South African accounting and tax practice. Our tax practitioners are registered with SARS and a recognised controlling body. We operate online and from Spaces serviced offices across South Africa. You can reach us at [email protected] or 0800 00 87 55.
When you order a service in our tax store you make an offer to purchase that service at the price shown. A contract is formed when Netcash confirms your payment and we send you an order confirmation by email. All prices are in South African rand and include 15% VAT. Where a page states that a CIPC or other statutory fee is included, that fee is included in the price; any other government fees, penalties or interest are charged on at cost with your approval.
We may decline or cancel an order if the service cannot lawfully or practically be performed, for example where a company is already deregistered, a name is unavailable, or the information supplied is incomplete or inaccurate. If we cancel an order before work begins, you receive a full refund.
Payments are processed by Netcash, a South African payment service provider, on a secure page hosted by Netcash. We do not see or store your card details. Instant EFT and card payments are confirmed immediately; ordinary EFT and retail payments are confirmed once the funds clear. Work starts once payment is confirmed and we have received the information and documents we ask for. You receive a tax invoice by email.
Turnaround times are estimates based on typical SARS and CIPC processing and are not guaranteed. Outcomes such as the issue of a tax compliance PIN, a VAT number or a company registration depend on decisions made by SARS and CIPC. We will prepare and lodge your application correctly and follow it up, but we cannot guarantee that a regulator will approve it or approve it within a particular time.
Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act you may cancel an online order within seven days of placing it and receive a full refund, provided we have not yet started the work. Once we have started, or once a submission has been lodged with SARS, CIPC or another third party, the order can no longer be cancelled and statutory fees already paid on your behalf are not refundable. Where we are unable to complete a service for reasons within our control, we refund the price paid. Refunds are made to the original payment method within ten business days.
Monthly accounting, payroll and tax packages are governed by the service level agreement you sign when you get started, including its fee and debit order terms. Where these terms and the service level agreement differ, the service level agreement applies to those services.

To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law, our total liability arising from any service purchased in the tax store is limited to the price you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for penalties, interest or losses caused by information or documents you supplied late, incomplete or incorrectly, or by delays at SARS, CIPC or other third parties.
