Why we started
Most small business owners we met were paying an hourly-rate accountant for the basics and still getting SARS penalties, late annual returns and a year-end bill they did not see coming. The work itself is not mysterious: reconcile the bank, file the returns on time, keep the company in good standing. It just needs a team that does it every month without being asked, at a price that does not punish growth.
So we priced the whole service at 1% of monthly business turnover, put every client on Xero so they can see their numbers live, and built the practice around registered tax practitioners rather than sales people. When a client's business turnover dips, the fee dips. When they have a record month, they can afford us. That alignment is the entire business model.
