Tax and SARS compliance services by registered tax practitioners

VAT, PAYE, provisional and annual income tax returns filed on time, SARS letters answered and disputes handled, for businesses and individuals anywhere in South Africa.

Tax compliance included in your monthly package

  • VAT201 returns calculated from your reconciled Xero books and submitted to SARS every period, with the payment reference sent to you in good time, plus an annual VAT reconciliation against your financial statements.
  • Provisional tax (IRP6) estimates in August and February, planned in advance so there are no penalties for underestimation.
  • Annual company income tax return (ITR14) prepared from the financial statements and submitted on eFiling.
  • Monthly EMP201 and bi-annual EMP501 employer reconciliations for payroll.
  • Tax compliance status kept green so a tax clearance PIN is available whenever you need one.
  • SARS verification requests, audits and objections handled by a registered tax practitioner.
  • Monthly tax structuring: salary versus dividends, allowances and timing, reviewed as your numbers change.

Why a registered tax practitioner matters

Only a tax practitioner registered with SARS and a recognised controlling body may charge for completing your returns. Registration means accountability: continuing education, a code of conduct and a practitioner number on every submission. It also means SARS deals with us directly, so verification letters, assessments and disputes are handled by someone who reads them every day.

Our practitioners work from your reconciled Xero books, so the numbers on your VAT return, provisional estimate and annual return all agree, which is exactly what SARS's risk engine checks for.

Tax questions

Can you take over a company that is behind on returns?

Yes. We request a statement of account from SARS, file the outstanding returns in order, apply for penalty remission where there are grounds, and set up a payment arrangement if needed.

Do you handle personal tax for directors?

Yes. Directors' personal returns are included in most monthly packages, and any individual can order an ITR12 or the annual membership in the tax store.

What happens when SARS sends a verification or audit letter?

Forward it to us. We compile the supporting documents, respond on eFiling within the deadline and follow up until the case is closed. Objections and appeals are handled the same way.

Do I need to register for VAT?

Registration is compulsory once taxable turnover passes R1 million in any 12-month period, and voluntary from R50,000. We advise on timing and handle the registration.
